Stores Controller

Location: Outskirts of Salisbury
Salary: £29,400 + Christmas bonus
Hours: Monday-Friday (early finish on Fridays)

We are seeking a hands-on, organised, and proactive Stores Controller to join a growing manufacturing business on the outskirts of Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of operations-ensuring materials flow efficiently, teams are supported, and processes run smoothly.

As Stores Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the stores function, maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all activities:

• Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and components
• Maintain accurate stock control using ERP systems
• Work closely with Production and Purchasing to ensure stock availability
• Supervise and support packing and despatch operatives
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and ISO 9001 compliance
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure safe operation of equipment, including forklifts where applicable

• Experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control role (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Strong understanding of stock control systems and processes
• Ability to lead, train, and support team members effectively
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• A proactive and flexible approach to work
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

• Starting salary of £29,400 per annum
• Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
• Christmas bonus based on company and individual performance
• Early finish every Friday
