Stores Operative

Our client, is currently seeking a Stores Operative to join their team on a contract basis. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient operation of their stores and ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly stored.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, checking, and storing incoming materials and supplies
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock levels are kept at optimal levels
- Issuing materials to the relevant departments as needed
- Conducting regular stock checks and reconciling any discrepancies
- Ensuring the stores area is kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries as necessary
- Communicating effectively with other departments to meet their material requirements
- Utilising inventory management systems to track and manage stock levels
Job Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a stores or inventory management role within the Defence & Security sector
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Physical capability to handle and move stock and supplies
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to stores management
