We’re supporting a major, customer-focused organisation in recruiting a Supplier Relationship Manager —a pivotal role responsible for shaping how contracts are managed, supplier performance is driven, and purchasing activity is governed across the business.

This position sits at the centre of procurement strategy, ensuring strong supplier relationships, effective risk management, and clear, value-driven outcomes. You’ll play a key role in embedding a contract management approach that is understood, adopted, and actively used across the organisation.

Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll lead a team while influencing stakeholders across multiple functions. From governance and compliance to analytics and supplier performance, you’ll help define best practice and raise standards across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and embedding a clear, practical contract management framework across the organisation
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for contract and supplier relationship management
  • Ensuring purchasing and purchase-to-pay processes are efficient, compliant, and fit for purpose
  • Setting and owning procurement KPIs, using data to improve performance and reduce risk
  • Translating procurement data into meaningful business insights to support decision-making
  • Strengthening governance and controls to ensure value for money and regulatory compliance
  • Supporting and influencing budget holders, with delegated financial authority up to £250k
  • Providing training and guidance on contract management best practice and relevant legislation
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders, project teams, and external suppliers to drive consistency
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team

You understand that strong contract management goes beyond process, it’s about relationships, performance, and delivering measurable outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • A strong track record in supplier and contract management, delivering tangible value
  • Experience driving improvements in purchasing practices and embedding change
  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders, including executive-level audiences
  • A solid understanding of procurement legislation and governance
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to turn data into actionable insight
