We are currently recruiting for two Streetscene Operatives to support environmental and frontline services within Dormanstown, North Yorkshire.
The successful candidates will help maintain a clean and tidy Borough through high-quality grounds maintenance, street cleansing, open space maintenance, and waste collection service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective street cleansing, grounds maintenance, and waste collection services.
- Maintain public spaces, foreshores, and town centre areas to a high standard.
- Protect, enhance, and promote access to community environmental spaces.
- Support the continuous improvement of frontline services through efficient working practices and excellent customer service.
- Liaise with council staff, public bodies, and members of the local community when required.
- Identify and report hazards or environmental issues outside of your direct responsibilities to your line manager.
- Work effectively as part of a team committed to improving the local environment.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Good awareness of health and safety responsibilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Previous experience within grounds maintenance, cleansing, waste collection, or similar operational work is desirable.
