Streetworks Officer/Inspector

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Streetworks Officer/Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. This role is integral to ensuring street and highway works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with legislation and permit conditions.

• Inspecting street works to ensure compliance with NRSWA, permit schemes, and codes of practice
• Identifying defects, non-compliance, and safety issues, and taking appropriate enforcement action
• Liaising with utility companies, contractors, and internal teams
• Recording inspections and findings accurately using electronic systems
• Supporting the coordination of works to minimise disruption to the public

• Experience in street works, highways, or inspection roles
• Good working knowledge of NRSWA and associated regulations
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage inspections across the network
