An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer at ether Project or Senior Structural Engineer level to join a highly respected, employee-owned Consultancy in Birmingham. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions, the business continues to play a key role in shaping communities across the Midlands through a diverse portfolio of high-profile developments.

The Birmingham office has delivered a number of significant projects throughout the region and continues to build on an impressive track record across healthcare, education, residential, commercial and urban regeneration sectors. With a strong pipeline of work secured, the team is involved in a broad range of multi-million-pound projects across the Midlands and beyond, creating a varied and technically rewarding workload.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in the day-to-day delivery of structural engineering projects, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and fellow design professionals to ensure projects are delivered successfully from concept through to construction. Depending on experience, you will be given the autonomy to manage projects with minimal supervision, acting as a key technical contact and representing the Consultancy at design team and progress meetings.

This role offers an excellent balance of technical delivery, project management and client-facing responsibility. You will be involved in structural design, analysis and coordination while working alongside an experienced team of Engineers and Technicians on projects that genuinely shape the built environment. The position can be tailored to suit the experience of the successful candidate, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to take the next step in their career.

Projects regularly involve a range of structural materials and building types, providing exposure to complex engineering challenges and the opportunity to further develop both technical and commercial skills. The Consultancy places a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation and sustainable design, creating an environment where engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas and take ownership of their work.

Candidates should have experience working within a building structures Consultancy environment and be comfortable taking responsibility for project delivery and client interaction. A strong technical grounding, experience using industry-standard structural analysis software and excellent communication skills are all essential. Engineers working towards Chartership will receive full support, while those already Chartered will find clear opportunities for continued progression.
