Job Title: Solar PV Structural Surveyor / Structural Engineer (Flat Roofs Experience)

Location: Chasington or Croydon (must be based close to one of these offices)

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

Apollogrid is the UK operating subsidiary of Rahvolt Group, a fast-growing leader in renewable energy specialising in premium solar PV systems and integrated energy storage solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Solar PV Structural Surveyor / Structural Engineer with strong experience in flat roofs to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be based close to our main offices in Chasington or Croydon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive structural surveys on residential and commercial properties
• Assess roof structures, with particular focus on flat roofs, for solar PV suitability
• Perform snow and wind load calculations
• Design bespoke structural plans and recommendations for solar installations
• Interact professionally with homeowners and clients during surveys
• Ensure all surveys comply with current building regulations, MCS standards, and best practice
• Provide technical support to the installation teams

Requirements:

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying or relevant field
• Minimum 3 years experience in commercial and/or residential structural surveying/engineering in the UK
• Practical experience in surveying and assessing flat roofs for solar PV installations
• Ability to carry out snow and wind load calculations
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• RICS qualification or equivalent (desirable)
• Knowledge of renewable energy / solar PV (desirable)
