Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 Or £450 - £500 per day (Inside IR35)

We're working with a leading infrastructure contractor to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to support a major infrastructure and construction project in Central Scotland.
This role will play a key part in managing subcontract and materials procurement activities, ensuring supply chain performance, commercial efficiency and successful project delivery across complex infrastructure schemes.
The Role
As Supply Chain Manager, you will take responsibility for end-to-end subcontract procurement, supplier performance and supply chain strategy across live projects.
Working closely with commercial, procurement and project delivery teams, you will ensure materials and subcontract packages are delivered on time, within budget and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
- Manage end-to-end subcontract procurement processes, including high-value and complex packages
- Develop procurement strategies to support project delivery and commercial objectives
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of works, materials and services
- Support contract negotiations and subcontract package management
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors
- Monitor supplier performance and address any delivery or quality issues
- Ensure supply chain partners meet required standards and project expectations
Risk & Performance Management
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including delays, shortages and quality concerns
- Monitor and analyse supply chain KPIs and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain processes
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with commercial and project teams to support delivery objectives
- Support cross-functional collaboration across procurement, operations and commercial functions
- Provide reporting and updates to senior stakeholders where required
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience in supply chain or procurement management within construction or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of subcontract procurement processes
- Good working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4 advantageous)
- Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills
- Knowledge of the Scottish construction supply chain market
Desirable
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline
- CIPS Level 4 (or working towards)
- Experience working on major infrastructure or regulated sector projects
- MEICA Experience
