About Us

Care Success Services Limited (CSSL) is a specialist care provider based in Longsight, Manchester. Our Day Centre provides a safe, structured and creative environment for adults with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs and significant communication difficulties. We deliver individualised activity programmes designed around each person's preferences, working closely with families, carers and the City Council on Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

The Role

We are recruiting Day Centre Support Workers on a term-time contract, aligned to the Manchester City Council school calendar. You will work during term periods only, supporting service users to engage in meaningful daily activities, develop their skills and experience an ordinary, fulfilling life.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting service users in daily activities, personal care and community engagement
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of individual care and activity programmes
  • Promoting independence, socialisation and creativity in a structured day setting
  • Building positive, professional relationships with service users, families and carers
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting care plan reviews
  • Working as part of a dedicated staff team, attending handovers, team meetings and mandatory training
  • Upholding dignity, respect and the rights of all service users at all times

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
  • Experience supporting people who present with behaviours that challenge
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Commitment to further training and professional development

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
  • Experience in a day service or community-based (non-residential) setting
  • Knowledge of non-aversive approaches to behaviour management
  • Familiarity with EHCP processes

Contract Details

  • Term-time only (aligned to Manchester City Council school calendar)
  • Hours worked flexibly to meet service requirements
