Tanker Driver / Jet‑Vac Operator

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside & Cheshire
Job Type: Full‑Time
Salary: Competitive (DOE) + Overtime + Call‑Out Payments

Our client is one of the North West’s leading drainage and plumbing specialists across Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire and West Lancashire.

As they continue to expand their off‑mains drainage, commercial tanker, and emergency response services, they are looking for a skilled and reliable Tanker Driver / Jet‑Vac Operator to join their team.

The Role

You will operate their modern Jet‑Vac / vacuumation tankers to support domestic, commercial, industrial, and off‑mains drainage work. This is a varied, hands‑on role that includes:

  • Emptying septic tanks, treatment plants and surcharged manholes
  • High‑flow jetting of large‑bore drainage systems
  • Supporting engineers on emergency callouts and flooding incidents
  • Safe collection, transport & disposal of wastewater
  • Completing job sheets, waste transfer notes and vehicle checks
  • Delivering excellent customer service on‑site

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience operating Jet‑Vac / combi‑tanker vehicles (preferred)
  • OEM-approved tanker training (or willingness to undertake it)
  • Strong awareness of safety, PPE and environmental compliance
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle hoses and equipment (manual handling involved)
  • A reliable, positive and professional attitude

Licences:

  • Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence desirable
  • CPC & Digital Tachograph card beneficial

Hours

Full‑time position, Monday – Friday, with participation in an out‑of‑hours rota for emergency support when required.
