The Role – Teaching Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth on a full-time, long-term basis. In this role, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, working closely with the class teacher to help create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide both academic and pastoral support, including 1:1 intervention, small group work, and classroom assistance. You will also play an important role in supporting behaviour, building pupil confidence, and encouraging progress both inside and outside the classroom.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will be patient, proactive, and nurturing, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development. Previous experience working in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
