Year 3 Teaching Assistant - Primary School near Caldicot

Academics, a trusted and well-established education recruitment agency, is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Caldicot area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a Year 3 class. This full-time, temporary position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working within Key Stage 2 and is committed to helping children reach their full potential through supportive and engaging classroom practice.

Your Role in Year 3:

• Assist Year 3 pupils in accessing learning activities across the curriculum
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and planned interventions
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost understanding
• Help create a calm, positive, and productive classroom environment
• Provide day-to-day classroom assistance across a range of tasks

What You'll Need:

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Experience working with children, ideally in a school environment
• A good understanding of primary education, particularly Year 3 / Key Stage 2
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
• A supportive, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
• The ability to follow direction and work effectively within a team
