Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work full-time within primary settings across the Leeds area. This is an exciting opportunity to support young learners at a crucial stage in their development and make a real, lasting impact in the classroom.

Starting as soon as possible, with strong potential to continue into the new academic year. You will have the chance to work in supportive and welcoming school environments, gaining valuable experience while building your confidence and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons
• Help prepare resources and set up effective learning activities
• Work closely with pupils, providing support to help them achieve their full potential
• Deliver small group interventions and targeted support where needed
• Provide additional assistance to pupils with a range of needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, focused learning environment
• Build strong working relationships with staff and pupils through clear and effective communication

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for helping children grow, succeed, and thrive
