This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and proactive TA to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and 2, with a particular focus on phonics intervention, classroom support, and pupil engagement within a nurturing school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2 during whole-class lessons, small group work, and targeted interventions.
- Support with phonics to help pupils develop early reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Work closely with class teachers to provide classroom support and help create an engaging learning environment.
- Provide general classroom assistance as a KS1/KS2 float Teaching Assistant, adapting to the needs of different classes and pupils throughout the school day.
- Support pupils in building confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Assist with preparing learning resources and maintaining a calm, organised classroom environment.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging participation and a love of learning.
About You
- Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of, or interest in, supporting phonics and early years literacy development.
- Confident supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2.
- Positive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
- A genuine passion for education and helping children reach their full potential.
- Proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic about contributing to school life.
