Responsibilities
- Supporting students aged 11–19 with EHCPs both in and out of the classroom
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, personalised, and inclusive learning activities
- Building positive relationships with pupils and helping them achieve their individual goals
- Promoting a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional, communication, and learning needs
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
- A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- The ability to provide a minimum of two years' employment and/or education references
- At least one reference must comment on your experience and interaction when working with children or young people
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
