TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Primary school in Consett that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The school promotes a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop both academically and personally through engaging and supportive learning experiences.

The school is looking to take on a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term and day-to-day basis from June. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils across both KS1 and KS2, working closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support, deliver interventions and encourage positive engagement within the classroom.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children within a UK Primary school setting
• Experience working with children with SEN needs
• A caring and patient nature
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• The ability to support learning across KS1 and KS2
• A positive and proactive attitude
