TeacherActive is proud to be working with a community-based primary school in Tonypandy seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant from September. This Christ-centred school is supported by a caring, experienced and dedicated staff team who are committed to meeting the individual needs of every child and creating a nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with the potential for a year-round opportunity for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils across the nursery provision, supporting learning and development whilst promoting inclusion and positive engagement. Experience supporting children with ALN is desirable, although the school welcomes applications from Teaching Assistants who are open to developing their knowledge and experience within this area.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience

• Experience working within a primary school or nursery setting (at least 6 months)

• A positive and nurturing approach to supporting children's learning and development

• Understanding of, or willingness to work with, children with ALN

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A caring, reliable and committed attitude
