Learning Support Assistants (SEMH) – Carshalton (SM5) UES1

Location: Carshalton, SM5
Pay: £117.74 per day
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting 2–3 experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work within a specialist setting supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for candidates who are confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and committed to making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Support behaviour regulation using de-escalation strategies
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Assist with learning activities and classroom engagement
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Resilient, patient, and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (UDS) – essential
  • Available for an immediate start
