Teaching Assistant

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Salary: £1,800 - £2,200 per month
Start Date: Immediate / September
Contract: Full-time

A welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping pupils build confidence, access learning, and make strong academic and social progress. The role would suit candidates with school-based experience, SEN experience, or graduates looking to gain experience in education.

The school has a strong inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and a collaborative staff team dedicated to pupil success.

• Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence
• Work closely with teachers and the SEN team
• Support classroom learning and interventions

Essential:

• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
• Experience working with children or in an SEN setting

Desirable:

• Experience supporting ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs
• Degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
