Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Support — Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils throughout the school day.
  • One-to-One Assistance — Provide targeted support to individual pupils who may need additional help with learning or behaviour.
  • Small Group Work — Lead or support small intervention groups to help children progress in core subjects.
  • Child Supervision — Supervise pupils during class activities, break times, and transitions around school.
  • Learning Resources — Help prepare learning materials and maintain an organised, stimulating classroom environment.
  • Safeguarding Awareness — Follow school safeguarding policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.

Essential Requirements

  • Childcare Experience — Previous experience working with children (in a school, nursery, or childcare setting) is essential.
  • Communication Skills — Ability to communicate clearly and positively with pupils and staff.
  • Teamwork — A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Adaptability — Comfortable working with children of different ages and abilities.
  • Commitment to Education — A genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Full-time or part-time options available (the school is flexible and happy to discuss working patterns)
