Zest Education is recruiting a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide full‑time 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil at a welcoming primary school in the Tamworth area. The school is known for its nurturing ethos, strong pastoral support and commitment to helping every child succeed.
This is a fixed‑term role starting September, supporting a pupil with a full‑time EHCP for behavioural, social and emotional needs.
About the Role
You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide tailored, consistent support. Your role will include:
- Providing 1:1 support to help the pupil access learning throughout the school day
- Implementing strategies to support behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
- Creating a safe, calm and structured environment
- Supporting the pupil during transitions, group work and independent tasks
- Working collaboratively with staff to follow the pupil’s EHCP
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and positive relationships
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant qualification such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting children with complex behavioural or emotional needs (desirable)
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to work closely with teachers and follow support plans
- Commitment to helping the pupil succeed both academically and emotionally

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
