Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care (Ofsted Regulated)

💷 Up to £37,600 per annum (DOE)
🕒 Full-Time | 2 on / 4 off shift pattern (including sleep-ins where required)

Lead and support a dedicated team within a therapeutic children’s residential home

We are recruiting a Team Leader for an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential service in Oswestry, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties linked to trauma, neglect, and adverse childhood experiences.

This is a key leadership role within the home, supporting the management team to deliver high-quality, consistent, and child-centred care.

🔑 The Role:

• Lead shifts within a children’s residential home, ensuring safe and effective care delivery
• Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with daily operational duties
• Supervise, mentor, and guide residential support workers
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and care standards
• Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
• Promote a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach at all times
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and shift handovers
• Support positive routines, structure, and emotional development for young people

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential)
• Minimum 1 year experience in children’s residential care (Ofsted regulated preferred)
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and Children’s Homes Regulations
• Experience supporting young people with EBD, trauma, or challenging behaviour
• Confident leadership and ability to manage shifts effectively
• Strong communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
• Flexible approach to a 2 on / 4 off rota pattern
