We’re looking for a hands-on Team Leader to drive performance, quality, and efficiency across our manufacturing operations. You’ll lead a team on shift, ensure smooth production flow, and champion continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment, reporting into Production Team Leader.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join a thriving manufacturing organisation, where there are genuine long term career prospects available.

You’ll be at the centre of daily operations, making sure everything runs safely, smoothly, and on time:

Commutable from Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Smethwick, Rowley Regis, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Aldridge, Hockley, Quinton, Aldridge, Darlaston, Willenhalll, Bilston, Bloxwich, Wombourne and Oldbury

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to quality systems, and standard work 
• Ensure the production schedule is on time
• Coach, train, and develop team members; maintain training matrices 
• Manage daily staffing levels 
• Maintain 5S standards 
• Oversee machine outputs, escalate issues, and support maintenance response 
• Ensure TPM activities are completed and effective 
• Update visual management boards and production planning tools 
• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives (quality, waste reduction, changeover reduction) 
• Handle performance and conduct issues where required

Requirements

• Experience of Team Leading within a manufacturing environment, ideally fast paced
• Happy to work Double Days – Monday to Friday
• Knowledge of SMED and TPM would be beneficial but not essential
• Calm, organised, and proactive under pressure 
• Strong communicator who gets the best from their team 
• Data-driven mindset with a focus on results and improvement 
• A “can-do” attitude 
• Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvements
