Location: Hatton Wastewater Treatment Works, Arbroath, Angus, DD11 2PJ and Bio Resources Contract

What you'll be doing:

  • To ensure all data information required contractually or by Veolia management is provided promptly and accurately.
  • To ensure all statutory, quality & safety policies and regulations are satisfied and that all company policies are implemented and maintained to the required standard.
  • To participate in all Operational activities within the process plant and all associated works, meeting all operational targets, within INFOR management system
  • To Operate and maintain {VOOM} all process plants and all associated works so as to meet all operating targets as defined by Veolia.
  • Full understanding of operational budget, including control of overtime. Financial awareness.
  • To liaise with approved contractors and service providers with the issue of work permits.
  • To manage and develop staff within the area of responsibility.
  • Liaise with Maintenance Unit Controller/Operational and Maintenance planner schedule and plan maintenance / operational requirements.
  • Liaise with Operational and Asset manager when required




What we're looking for:

  • Educated to SVQ 3 level Controlling process Operations {or willing to achieve within a set period}
  • Technically proficient in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of plant and equipment, across Tay.
  • Liaise with Catchment, SEPA & SW on occasion.
  • Demonstrates ability to work within designated budgets / budget control.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead a team and manage a team in an Operational environment.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Develops and utilises technical knowledge to demonstrate good practices and efficient running of operational process & maintenance systems.
  • SCADA/ PLC/ LOI/BMS Operational competency
  • Demonstrate a capability to deliver/assist with Projects. Prepare proposals and implement within the Operational, and maintenance team.
  • VOOM awareness
  • Operational excellence/Team player
  • Regular use of specialist skills. To be agreed as part of 1-2-1 discussion.
  • Represent Unit Controller on occasions.
  • Plans and delivers team meetings/morning meetings / Tool box talks when required
  • Identifies operational & process cost effective improvements.
  • Demonstrate the aptitude and desire to develop a career beyond your current role.
  • Weekend/Shift work may occasionally be required.
