A well-established professional consultancy is looking to appoint a Technical Administrator to join its busy team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys supporting technical professionals in a fast-paced, project-led environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations, providing administrative support across a specialist technical division and helping projects progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.


Key responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to a team of technical specialists
  • Producing and formatting documentation, reports and correspondence, including a high volume of audio typing
  • Managing incoming and outgoing project communications, ensuring information is accurately logged and distributed
  • Monitoring project timelines and following up with internal teams to maintain service level agreements
  • Coordinating appointments, site visits and diary schedules
  • Maintaining internal systems and updating project records
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally, ensuring a high standard of client service
  • Organising project files, documentation and supporting paperwork
  • Assisting senior members of the administration team with wider operational tasks


About you

The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple tasks in a busy office environment. You’ll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team, with a strong eye for detail and excellent communication skills.


Applicants should ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or team support role
  • Strong typing skills, including experience transcribing audio
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience managing workloads across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A professional and customer-focused approach
  • The ability to work accurately under time-sensitive deadlines
