Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

Salary: Up to £53,725 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Inspector to act as the client's on-site representative across social housing planned works and major refurbishment programmes.

You will be responsible for ensuring all works are delivered safely, to specification, on programme, and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality standards.

This is a key quality assurance role working closely with contractors, internal teams, and residents to ensure high standards of delivery across all works.



Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect works at key stages and completion, ensuring delivery to specification and identifying defects, poor workmanship, and non-compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM, H&S legislation, contractual requirements, and governance standards.

  • Monitor contractor performance and support delivery of works in line with programme, quality, and cost expectations.

  • Investigate defects during the Defects Liability Period and support timely resolution with residents and internal teams.

  • Produce weekly site inspection reports and maintain accurate records of progress, defects, and compliance.

  • Identify and escalate site risks, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.

  • Ensure full health, safety, regulatory, and governance compliance across all sites.



Desirable Requirements

  • HNC/HND or ICWCI qualification

  • Experience managing contractors

  • Budget monitoring experience

  • Knowledge of databases and reporting systems

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to chair meetings and present technical information

  • Commitment to CPD and professional development
