Technical Lead Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Operations Manager to join a specialist organisation within the confined space and rescue sector. This is a key leadership role, forming part of the senior management team and playing a critical part in driving safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the business.

As Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading all rescue operations and ensuring best-in-class technical and safety standards are implemented across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and overseeing all rescue activities across the business
• Developing high-quality risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and emergency rescue plans
• Ensuring all staff are fully trained, competent, and hold the required certifications
• Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with safety procedures and identifying areas for improvement
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records
• Supporting business growth through active involvement in business development opportunities
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

You will also play a key role in shaping future operational strategy, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the business remains compliant with industry regulations and standards.

To be considered, you must have:

• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification)
• Proven leadership and management experience
• Strong experience within Health & Safety and safe systems of work
• Experience producing RAMS and managing risk in operational environments
• A full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable:

• Confined space experience (training will be provided if required)

You will be a confident and proactive leader with the ability to manage multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, and drive high safety standards across a fast-paced operational environment.

You will also demonstrate strong commercial awareness and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Direct Reports: Technical Leads and Rescue Technicians
• You will be required to complete relevant confined space qualifications as part of the role
