Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Technical Services Manager to report to the Technical Director of Technical Services and work closely with Group and local country Operational Performance teams.
This role is fully accountable for ensuring adherence to consistent technical service standards across the account within the assigned region, ensuring compliance, quality, and performance are delivered in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be a senior technical leader with full ownership of service delivery, client relationships, and financial performance. You will drive high-quality outcomes, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across a complex, multi-site account, acting as the senior escalation point for all technical service matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of technical and engineering services across the account
- Act as the primary escalation point for all technical service issues
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery aligned to contractual requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as the main technical contact
- Drive client satisfaction, service performance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Own financial performance, including budgets, cost control, and revenue targets
- Lead, develop, and manage technical teams, supporting succession and future leadership capability
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal, and regulatory standards across the account
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role
- Strong background in building services and hard facilities management
- Demonstrable experience in technical services delivery, compliance, and risk management
- Experience leading technical change and implementation programmes
- Analytical and systematic problem-solving capability
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets, contracts, and margins
- Full UK driving licence, with flexibility for occasional site visits
