Location: Holborn, London
Salary: £48,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent | Full Time (40 hours per week)
Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Supervisor to join our contract based in Holborn, London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to lead and support a team of engineers across a high-profile, critical environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
The role will also support operational continuity by providing engineering leadership during emergency situations while maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of static and mobile engineers
- Ensure all PPM and reactive maintenance tasks are completed within SLA/KPI requirements
- Oversee specialist engineering services delivered by both internal teams and subcontractors
- Plan, coordinate, and review engineering activities across the contract
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures
- Support the delivery of the building engineering strategy
- Provide technical support and leadership during emergency situations and business-critical incidents
- Monitor contractor performance and standards of work
- Produce reports, service updates, and compliance documentation as required
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with contractual output specifications and company processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Technical Supervisor or Lead Engineer position
- Strong background within building services / facilities management
- Experience managing engineers and subcontractors within a commercial environment
- Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance delivery
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively
- Experience working within critical or public sector environments is desirable
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical)
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification desirable
- Strong knowledge of building services systems
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and compliance reporting preferred
