Technical Support Engineer (2nd Line – Microsoft 365 & Cloud Support) | £35k–£45k | Remote (UK)
 
Join a growing, well-established business supporting a fully remote user base across a modern Microsoft cloud environment. We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join a collaborative remote team, supporting day-to-day platform operations across Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint management, and cloud-based services.
 
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong 2nd line support experience who enjoys troubleshooting user, platform, and cloud-service issues in a modern remote-first environment. You’ll work closely with internal teams to resolve incidents, improve processes, and support a seamless experience for users across the business.
 
What You’ll Do
 
  • Provide 2nd line support to a fully remote user base across Microsoft 365 and cloud-based platforms
  • Troubleshoot user access, authentication, device, mail flow, and connectivity issues
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding processes including user provisioning, permissions, and device setup
  • Support endpoint configuration, device management, and remote user support activities
  • Investigate and resolve issues across cloud platforms, identity services, and business applications
  • Assist with system changes, software deployments, upgrades, and operational improvements
  • Support security-related processes including endpoint protection, patching, and access control
  • Work closely with internal IT teams to improve support processes and user experience
  • Maintain clear documentation, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting procedures
 
What We’re Looking For
 
  • 3+ years’ experience in a 2nd line support or Microsoft 365 support role
  • Strong experience supporting remote users in a cloud-first environment
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, and Entra ID
  • Experience with user provisioning, device setup, access management, and endpoint support
  • Good troubleshooting skills across authentication, connectivity, and cloud-based services
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security and endpoint management tools is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Comfortable working independently within a fully remote team environment
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and user experience
