Job Title: Corrective Technician

Location: Edinburgh Depot
Salary: £51,148 per year
Shift Pattern: Shift work including days, nights and weekends

Role Summary

Corrective Technician required to support the maintenance and reliability of the Edinburgh Tram fleet.

The successful candidate will work as part of a depot-based maintenance team, ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard and are consistently available for passenger service. This role will involve corrective maintenance, fault-finding, overhauls, and repairs across a range of complex onboard systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fault-finding and corrective maintenance on rolling stock vehicles to meet availability and reliability targets.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team during diagnostics, overhauls, and repairs.
• Support the Operational Control Centre by offering technical advice and attending vehicles in service where required
• Assist with planned preventive maintenance activities and vehicle overhauls in accordance with maintenance instructions

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Proven fault-finding and corrective maintenance experience
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
• Strong commitment to safety in a safety-critical environment
