Tig Welder

B-Hepworth · Direct employer

We require experienced TIG Welders who can work confidently with thin‑gauge stainless steel and aluminium. Candidates must be able to produce clean 2–4mm fillet welds and full‑penetration butt welds on 1.5–3mm material. They must be competent in both stainless and ally TIG, with consistent bead appearance, no contamination, and good heat control. The work involves precision fabrication for safety‑critical rail components, so welders must be able to follow drawings, work cleanly, and pass a short weld test on arrival (3mm fillet on stainless and aluminium + full‑pen butt weld). Please only submit welders with proven TIG experience on thin materials — MIG‑only or hobby‑level TIG is not suitable.

We can offer exposure to more complex and varied welding work, the chance to improve and develop your TIG skills on stainless and aluminium, and opportunities to gain welding codings. Overtime isn’t guaranteed, but when we’re busy there is regular extra work available.
