Location: Ruislip (Delfield)

Hours: Full‑time or Part‑time

Salary: £17 - £20

An established production and engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Aluminium TIG Welder to join their team in Ruislip. This is a hands‑on, precision‑focused role working on high‑quality aluminium components in a structured, safety‑driven environment.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will carry out TIG welding on aluminium components in line with engineering drawings, specifications, and UK welding standards. The role involves preparing materials, welding to tight tolerances, and ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high‑quality TIG welding on aluminium components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Prepare materials including cutting, cleaning, and setting up components
  • Ensure weld quality meets required standards (visual checks and testing where required)
  • Carry out finishing work such as grinding and polishing
  • Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and use PPE correctly
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder, specifically with aluminium
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and safety standards
  • Relevant welding qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Experience working with thin‑gauge aluminium (desirable)
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances

Desirable Skills

  • Coding or coding experience to recognised standards (e.g., BS EN ISO)
  • Experience in fabrication and assembly
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, marine, or similar industries
