Tool Setter

The Role

• Carrying out tool changes on blow and injection moulding machines in line with setting sheets and defined target times
• Preparing all secondary equipment required for production and ensuring correct operation
• Completing all tool change paperwork accurately and on time
• Identifying and reporting defects with mould tools, dyes, secondary equipment or machinery
• Supporting basic equipment maintenance (e.g. granulators and power packs) when required
• Returning tools and dyes to the toolroom and maintaining excellent housekeeping and safety standards

Tool Setter

The Candidate

• FLT counterbalance license
• Previous experience in tool setting / changing.
• Experience completing tool and dye changes on injection and blow moulding machines, with the ability to follow structured setting documentation
• The ability to work under pressure to meet time targets and be able to adapt quickly to unplanned priorities
• Lifting and slinging experience
• A proactive approach to problem solving, health and safety, and continuous improvement
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A willingness to undertake any necessary training to fulfil the duties of the role
