Job Description
- Manufacture, fit, trial, debug, and modify press tooling by interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, including stripping, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding tooling, jigs, and gauges.
- Diagnose machine and tooling issues, attend breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Operate a range of workshop machinery, hand tools, CAD software, and precision measuring equipment to produce and verify tooling components.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards while supporting productivity improvements, reporting requirements, and efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Proven experience working in domestic or contract toolmaking/manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in multi-stage progression tools, including maintenance, repair, and optimisation.
- Skilled in a wide range of machining processes, including milling, turning, drilling, and surface grinding.
- Experience with CNC and EDM machining, supported by knowledge of Visi CAD software.
- Good understanding of 5S principles and health & safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
