We are working with a forward-thinking local authority to recruit an experienced Interim Tourism Project Manager to support delivery of a high profile tourism mitigation programme linked to the Sizewell C (SZC) development.
This is a dynamic and varied role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, and enjoys working across public facing initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and creative project delivery.

The Role

You will play a key role in managing and delivering projects within a substantial tourism mitigation fund, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and the wider local business community.
Key responsibilities include:

This is a highly visible role requiring strong communication skills, as you will be working across public facing initiatives and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including businesses, partners, and elected members.

About You

We're looking for a proactive, creative and highly organised project professional who can "spin multiple plates" and drive delivery at pace.
You will bring:

  • Proven project management experience (ideally within tourism, regeneration, or public sector programmes)
  • Experience managing consultants and external suppliers
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously
  • A creative approach to problem solving and programme delivery
  • Confidence working in a public-facing and politically sensitive environment

A good understanding of the tourism, culture, and place-based agenda is desirable.
