Role: Trainee Electronics Technician
Location: Greenford, UB6 8D
Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Electronics Technician to develop the skills and knowledge required to work as a professional electronics technician through an office-based training program. You will support a world-class rental business by servicing, repairing, and refurbishing cameras and electronic accessories, including testing and calibration where required. This role requires adaptability, proactivity, and the ability to respond to shifting client priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe, learn, and develop a wide range of electronic engineering skills under the guidance of skilled technical staff.
  • Progressively demonstrate acquired skills by working independently or as part of a team on tasks as instructed.
  • Understand and apply Health & Safety practices within the workspace.
  • Construct or modify electrical and electronic equipment from verbal instructions and drawings.
  • Use a variety of electronic test equipment effectively.
  • Maintain workshop equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards in the workshop.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to provide technical support and problem-solving.
  • Utilise systems, including Pinnacle Service Module, to manage engineering requests, resources, and priorities, ensuring data accuracy and supporting annual stock takes.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing support to operations and clients through to job completion.
  • Maintain and uphold company standards for electronic maintenance and construction.

Health & Safety Requirements:

  • Safe electrical working practices in line with current standards.
  • Training and compliance in Electrical Safety (PAT) testing.
  • Safe handling of solvents, chemicals, and sharp equipment.
  • Safe manual handling techniques.
  • Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
