We are currently looking for a motivated and hands-on trainee engineer to join a growing and supportive engineering team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven trainee engineer to build a long-term career within the catering equipment industry, carrying out pre-planned maintenance on commercial ovens and bakery appliances.

As a trainee engineer, you will receive full training and ongoing support while learning to carry out pre-planned maintenance, inspections, and basic servicing on a wide range of catering and bakery equipment. This role is ideal for someone with transferable skills from electrical, mechanical, maintenance, or white goods backgrounds who is eager to develop into a skilled field-based engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out pre-planned maintenance on commercial ovens and bakery appliances
• Support senior engineers with scheduled servicing work
• Learn fault-finding and preventative maintenance techniques
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
• Deliver excellent customer service on-site
• Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally

Requirements:

• Keen interest in engineering or hands-on technical work
• Basic electrical or mechanical knowledge desirable
• Previous experience in maintenance, white goods, or a similar technical role beneficial
• Full UK driving licence
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and progress as a trainee engineer
