Who will you be working for?
This is an incredible opportunity for an aspiring, or existing Registered Children’s Home Manager to join an established organisation that has been operating for 10+ years with two children’s homes (Outstanding in all areas and Good in all areas) as well as a CQC home. Both children’s homes are currently managed on a dual-registered basis and the current manager, who has been with them for 6+ years, is staying with the organisation. The plan for the successful applicant would be to have a training and handover period of 3-6 months before submitting their own registration, to ensure feasibility and compatibility before the commitment is finalised.
This particular home is a “Good in all areas” 3 Bedded EBD home that currently supports three adolescents that experience SEMH with no serious concerns. The home is fully staffed and their retention across the organisation is incredibly high, including their first two employees who have over 10 years’ service. The culture within the organisation is to die for, including charity commitments, free caravan holidays, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for children, and bonuses for all staff members for great Ofsted performance.
The directors and senior leaders are extremely experienced and committed, and they place huge emphasis on internal development, including a dedicated compliance manager and their current dual-RM, who both progressed from support worker many years prior. If you are looking for the ‘right’ opportunity to grow as a manager rather than just the ‘next job’, apply or reach out for a confidential chat.
The Package & Benefits:
- £45,000 - £50,000 p/a, depending on experience and qualifications, with additional bonuses and incentives
- Opportunity for overtime pay, or time back in lieu
- Free Caravan Holidays for staff members to use
- Deep on-call rota: organised between managers flexibly – one in 8! Attendance has been required 3 times in the last 6 months
- Professional Development: Opportunity to complete a fully funded & accredited Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare qualification, support for Level 7 in Strategic Leadership, and plenty of in-house training opportunities, including an internal PRICE trainer
- In-house development: Be a part of an organisation that truly values their staff and pushes them to their potential – their current dual-RM and their dedicated compliance manager both started as support workers many years ago
- Systems: Online systems and processes in place with layers of compliance management
- Free DBS check and Update Service registration
- Wellbeing & Recognition: Whole staff team receive bonuses for great Ofsted outcomes, genuine and understanding layer of line managers who will actually support staff, flexible working where necessary (within reason), seasonal gifts, great culture, regular charity involvement, and more
- Holiday: 5.6 weeks (28 days) of paid annual leave, including bank holidays.
