About the Role:
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Trainer Assessor to join their Work-Based Learning (WBL) team within Business, Management and Human Resources.
As the Trainer Assessor, you will take responsibility for a caseload of apprentices and work-based learners, providing high-quality teaching, coaching, mentoring and assessment to support successful achievement of apprenticeship standards and qualifications. Acting as the main point of contact for both learners and employers, you will build strong partnerships that promote learner progress, achievement and career development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Trainer Assessor with industry experience in HR, Business or Management who is passionate about developing talent and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a caseload of learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.
- Deliver high-quality teaching, training, coaching and assessment in the workplace.
- Assess learner starting points and develop individual learning plans.
- Support learners in developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) required for successful completion of their apprenticeship.
- Prepare learners for Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA).
- Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers.
- Track learner progress, off-the-job training and achievement against agreed targets.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers.
- Maintain accurate learner records and meet awarding body and funding requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and British Values.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with employers and external stakeholders.
- Support learner recruitment and participate in employer engagement activities.
What They Are Looking For:
Essential
- Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant subject area.
- Recent industry experience and/or ongoing professional development within Business, Management or Human Resources.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage a learner caseload effectively and meet performance targets.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and learner success.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites and employer locations.
Trainer Assessor 1
In addition to the above:
- Level 3 TAQA, A1 Assessor Award, or equivalent assessor qualification.
- Experience assessing learners in a relevant vocational area.
- Ability to mentor and support trainee assessors.
Trainer Assessor 2
In addition to the above:
- Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification.
- Experience of internal quality assurance activities.
- Ability to support standardisation, quality improvement and assessor development.
- Experience of working with awarding organisations and quality assurance processes.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 3, 5 or 7 qualification.
- Experience within a Human Resources environment.
- Experience using e-portfolio systems such as Smart Assessor.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience within Further Education or apprenticeship delivery.
