As a Transmission Design Engineer you will:

• Develop mechanical design schemes and detailed designs for various transmission components and assemblies.
• Lead the design and development of transmission systems for light helicopters.
• Create concept designs of mechanical systems using PTC Creo.
• Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to optimise system elements.
• Develop testing plans for parts and systems while supporting in-house prototype builds.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver innovative solutions that meet high-performance standards.

The Senior Design Engineer will have: 

• A degree in Engineering (or equivalent proven experience).
• Strong mechanical design expertise, with proficiency in CAD for modelling parts and assemblies.
• Ability to carry out engineering calculations and use modelling/simulation software like Mathcad or ANSYS.
• Experience in developing mechanical systems from concept to completion.
• A hands-on approach, a can-do attitude, and the ability to challenge conventional thinking constructively.
