About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to oversee and optimise our transport operations based in Lutterworth. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective fleet management.

The successful candidate must be fluent in Mandarin to support communication with international stakeholders, partners, and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery performance
  • Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation, including Operator Licence requirements and driver hours regulations
  • Oversee fleet management, maintenance schedules, and vehicle utilisation
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of drivers and transport staff
  • Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data, and implement continuous improvements
  • Manage transport budgets, costs, and fuel efficiency initiatives
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operational flow
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and partners
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety across all transport activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager within a logistics or distribution environment
  • Valid Transport Manager CPC (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience managing drivers, fleet operations, and transport planning
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • Experience within a high-volume distribution or 3PL environment
  • Knowledge of transport management systems (TMS)
  • Experience working with international supply chains
