Transport Planner

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Transport Planner for a full-time permanent position based in Castleford with one of the UK's most established logistics businesses.

This is a Monday to Friday role with no weekend working, sitting within a structured transport operation and reporting directly into the Transport Manager. If you're experienced in route planning and driver scheduling and want consistent, stable work with a well-known name in UK logistics, this is worth a look.

What's on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
• £31,000 per annum

As a Transport Planner, your duties will include:

• Scheduling drivers and planning delivery routes to maximise efficiency
• Reviewing and adjusting plans based on driver availability and operational changes
• Working closely with transport supervisors to ensure deliveries run on time and accurately
• Keeping the Transport Manager informed on daily operational performance

To be considered as a Transport Planner, you will need:

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Good working knowledge of driver hours, compliance and transport regulations
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with operational teams
