Transport Planner
Location: Bersted, West Sussex
Salary: Up to £36,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm + 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:00am - 1:00pm)

We're working with a busy and well-established waste management company looking to add an experienced Transport Planner to their fast-paced operation.

The Role:
You'll be responsible for planning and routing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient daily operations while maintaining high service levels. This is a hands-on role in a demanding environment, where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and route daily vehicle movements efficiently
• Manage driver schedules and workloads
• Ensure compliance with driver hours and transport regulations
• React quickly to changes, delays, and operational issues
• Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Maintain accurate planning and operational records

Requirements:

• Previous transport planning and routing experience (essential)
• Good understanding of driver hours and transport compliance
• Background in waste or general haulage considered
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong organisation and communication skills
