This is an excellent opportunity for self-employed tutors who are passionate about helping young people and adults develop their confidence, knowledge and skills in Maths and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths and/or English sessions.
- Assess learners' current abilities and identify areas for development.
- Create and implement individual learning plans.
- Prepare learners for Functional Skills examinations.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintain accurate learner records and reports where required.
- Previous experience delivering Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
- Relevant teaching, tutoring or education qualification.
- Strong understanding of Functional Skills curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners from a variety of backgrounds.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, ADHD, ASD or SEMH needs would be advantageous.
- Competitive rate of £35.00 per hour.
