These are 12‑month secondments right at the heart of UK circular economy policy, working on end-of-life vehicles and tyre recycling within the Circular Economy Growth Plan Delivery Team. Vehicle Recycling / End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) Manager | c. £500-£550/day | Bristol / London / Newcastle / York (3 days on-site)

In this ELV-focused contract, you'll act as client's subject matter expert on vehicle recycling systems, advising on dismantling, material recovery, and compliance mechanisms that genuinely work for industry. Sitting in the Circular Economy Growth Plan Delivery Team, you'll translate your operational knowledge into policy proposals, shaping reforms that support net zero and a more sustainable transport system. You'll engage directly with OEMs, dismantlers, recyclers and regulators, crafting evidence-based recommendations for senior officials and ministers, and helping civil servants deepen their understanding of the ELV landscape and its practical challenges.

This Tyres Recycling Lead role is ideal if you understand tyre lifecycles and see the untapped potential in circularity. You'll guide government thinking on material reuse, advanced recycling technologies and producer responsibility, ensuring policy reflects how the market actually operates. Working within the same interdisciplinary client's team, you'll design and drive proposals that improve recovery and reuse rates, open new market opportunities and support net zero ambitions. You'll also play a key mentoring role - upskilling policy colleagues, challenging existing practices, and ensuring your technical insight directly informs future regulation and investment decisions.
