A friendly and nurturing nursery setting in HP9 is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within childcare and early years education.

About the Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Support children’s learning and development within the nursery environment
• Assist with play-based activities, story time, and creative learning sessions
• Help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children
• Support children with daily routines, including mealtimes and transitions
• Encourage children’s social, emotional, and communication development
• Work closely with senior staff to support the smooth running of the nursery

Requirements

• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Previous childcare, babysitting, nursery, or school experience desirable
• Caring, patient, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to Work in the UK – essential

Desirable

• Experience within a nursery, preschool, or EYFS environment
• Driver preferred due to location/travel
• Interest in pursuing a childcare qualification in the future
