Service Advisor

Our client, the largest car dealer group in South Wales with multiple dealerships across the region, is seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Service Advisor to join their franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in Cardiff.

Duties of a Vehicle Service Advisor:

• Greet customers professionally upon arrival at the Service Department and accurately book their vehicles in for servicing or repairs
• Liaise closely with the workshop to monitor progress and ensure timely updates are provided to customers
• Advise customers on minor technical concerns, offering professional guidance and up-selling additional products and services where appropriate
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and service delivery
• Process customer payments efficiently and accurately
• Coordinate with the manufacturer to authorise warranty repairs and manage warranty procedures
• Assist in achieving company targets and objectives through effective relationship-building and upselling
• Keep accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle histories

Requirements of a Vehicle Service Advisor:

• Proven experience working as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar within the motor trade
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Organised and IT proficient, with experience in Kerridge, Drive, RTC, or equivalent dealership management systems (desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures and processes (advantageous but not essential)
• Valid UK driving license with minimal points
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm (paid at time and a half)
