Vehicle Technician

IMH Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client based in Halifax, HX1.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician with MOT testing experience to work within a busy workshop environment maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles and equipment.

Duties Include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on:
• HGVs
• Light commercial vehicles
• Cars
• Accessible buses
• Plant and equipment
• Diagnosing faults and repairing vehicle defects
• Completing MOT tests for Class IV, V, and VII vehicles
• Attending vehicle breakdowns and roadside incidents when required
• Carrying out taxi and private hire vehicle compliance checks
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Maintaining workshop equipment and MOT bays

Requirements:

• City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Technician qualification or NVQ Level 2 equivalent
• Nominated MOT Tester for Class IV, V & VII vehicles
• Full UK Driving Licence (Category B held for at least 2 years)
• Experience servicing and repairing HGVs, vans, cars, and plant equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Good organisational and record keeping skills
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical and diagnostic systems

Desirable:

• LGV C1 and D1 licence
• Experience with electric/hybrid vehicle repair qualifications
• LOLER tail lift inspection experience

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 3:54pm
• £17.01 - £19.27 per hour (depending on experience)
• Weekly pay via agency!
