Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
  • Complete repairs and replace components as required
  • Generate detailed reports on vehicle defects and work performed
  • Work independently or as part of a busy workshop team ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Optional: Conduct MOT testing (if qualified)
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere to safety protocols
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within a main dealer environment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Effective time management and organisational abilities
  • Ability to operate under pressure whilst maintaining high-quality standards
  • Proactive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
  • Willingness to undertake manufacturer and EV-specific training
  • Prior experience with electric vehicle maintenance is advantageous but not essential
